Following last Thursday’s update regarding Meta, there were several unanswered questions regarding what Apple should do with Apple Vision Pro. The topic deserves a more thorough examination, which we will do today. Let’s jump in.

A Subtraction Strategy Is Tough for Spatial Computers
Following a WWDC 2023 unveiling and early 2024 launch, Apple Vision Pro has been available for 32 months. We don’t have any clues from Apple regarding how many Vision Pro headsets have been sold to date. There isn’t enough information to pick out headset revenue from Apple’s broader “Wearables, Home and Accessories” catch basin either. Even after excluding estimated Apple Watch and AirPods revenue from the catch basin, the long upgrade cycles that characterize home devices and accessories make it difficult to pick out Vision Pro revenue from the totals.
