We begin the update with my estimate for the number of wearable devices Apple shipped in 4Q19. The discussion also goes over why IDC’s recent report on wearables shipments looks off the mark. The email then turns to my estimate for the size of the Apple Watch installed base (the number of Apple Watches in the wild) as of the end of September 2019. We conclude with my estimate for the size of the AirPods installed base (the number of AirPods in the wild) as of the end of September 2019.
