We also examine the most interesting takeaway from AirPods surpassing Spotify in terms of revenue. The discussion then turns to my estimate for the size of the AirPods installed base (the number of people using AirPods) as of the end of December 2019. We conclude with my thoughts on how Apple’s Beats acquisition is taking on a very different feel given the current renaissance surrounding wireless headphones.
