We begin today’s update with my thoughts on Nikkei’s Asia new report about Apple cutting iPhone production. The problem with Nikkei’s report is that the numbers don’t add up. We go over why I don’t think Nikkei is portraying the full story. The discussion then turns to the iPhone 12 mini and what continues to look like a big problem. We conclude with news that iPhone 12 production will begin shortly in India. The country is shaping up to be a major variable in the iPhone’s growth story over the next five to 10 years.
